Keeping it Real- The Message of the Gospel

As I look at the life of Jesus, I have discovered something interesting. His message was consistent. It was relevant and for all people. It changed lives. It was redemptive. It transcended culture and gender. It was applicable to all life “curved balls”. His message was His life. His life was His message. When John the evangelist saw Jesus walking past he said: There goes the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29). What was the key to His message? Two scriptures best explain what was the central message of Jesus. The first, John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. The second on is found in Luke 19:10: for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Jesus, therefore come not to condemn, but to save us. Save who? All who feel lost, last and least. And why? Because the Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

The Gospel is good news for all of us. Regardless of culture, gender, background, church experience. Everyone needs a saviour. There is only one saviour: Jesus the Christ. Do you know Him today?
