WHAT TO EXPECT

Visiting a new palce for the first time can be a little scary, let alone a new church, especially if you aren’t a Christian. On this page we answer some questions you may have about visiting and hope that your fears will be relieved, so you can come straight in feeling like you are part of the family. If you have any other questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out to us, we’re here to help.

What can I expect at a Sunday meeting?

Warm and friendly people, engaging worship, an applicable message that centres on God’s Word and an opportunity to meet with Jesus. Oh, and we also like to finish off the morning with a delicious morning tea and barista made coffee!

What if I don’t know where to go or where to take my kids?

Light Kids is our children’s programme where we are passionate about equipping the next generation with a strong foundation of the Bible and a personal relationship with Jesus. Radiant Kids is our Preschool (0-5) programme with freeplay, snack time and more! Glow Kids is our Primary School programme with fun craft activities and Bible-centered lessons run with the school terms. Our friendly team is ready to welcome you and are happy to help with any questions you may have.

What is the style of your meetings?

We are not just singing songs about God, we’re singing songs to God, because we believe He is present in our gatherings. We’re passionate about God, and the expressions of our passion are spontaneous and never forced. Sometimes, as we see modelled in the Bible, we’ll lift up our hands, close our eyes, dance or kneel.

What should I wear?

Whatever you normally wear and feel comfortable in! Typically, people are dressed casually but feel free to wear whatever suits you on a Sunday.

A wise Swedish proverb states ‘a shared joy is a double joy.’ When we worship Jesus together, our awe of Him is magnified and increased

— SWEDISH PROVERB

Will I be forced to do something I don’t want to do?

We are so glad you’re visiting us. We want you to feel welcomed and at home here and won’t push you to do anything you don’t want to do. We won’t make you stand up in front of everybody as a first-time guest or introduce yourself. There are a lot of great people to meet and a lot of great things happening on a Sunday morning, but the level of your participation will be totally up to you.

What about my kids?

We’d love to connect with your kids! After our main time of praise and worship, we run a wonderful kids church programme Light Kids! You’ll be able to meet the Light Kids team before the service and tour our cosy family play area in the back of the church too. Families with younger children are more than welcome to stay in the main auditorium.

When and Where?

Our Sunday morning meeting is at 10 am–see the contact us tab for directions. We also have a number of connect groups, prayer and other ministries that take place at various times throughout the week–see the events tab for more information.
